The Waiting Swing. ⏳π³
The swing still drifts beneath the mango tree, π₯π
its rope thinned by years of waiting. π°️
No hands grip it now,
but the breeze remembers how we flew. π¬️
We were barefoot monarchs
of a sunlit kingdom, π£
our crowns made of dandelions, ππΌ
our laws written in mud. ☺️
The world bowed only to our laughter, π
and even the shadows
asked to stay near. π
Down by the creek, π§
we learned to listen — not with ears, but with wonder. ✨
The water spoke in silver syllables, naming things we’ve since forgotten. π
Jasmine tangled at the edge of it all, πΏπΈ
sweet and wild, π₯
marking where stories ended
and dreams began. π
Now, I return, ✍️
not with steps, π£
but with memory. π§
The swing still moves. ⛓️
The creek still sings, πΆ
though its voice is thinner, ❤️π₯
